Role Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Intern for a 6-month internship, with the opportunity to convert to a full-time role based on performance. You'll assist in CAD modeling, prototyping, testing, BOM creation, welding operations, and quality checks. Ideal candidates have experience with SolidWorks/Fusion 360, rapid prototyping, and knowledge of sheet metal and CNC processes. This role offers hands-on exposure to real-world projects in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferably 2025 passout.

• Hands-on experience in 3D Printing and rapid prototyping

• Proficiency in CAD software such Solidworks & Fusion 360

• Knowledge in materials, sheet metal manufacturing process, and CNC machining is preferred.

• Strong understanding of GD & T and mechanical drafting standards

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robotic automation systems and components, utilizing CAD and FEA software.

• Ideate and develop concepts, models & prototypes.

• Assist in BOM creation, engineering drawings, SOP development, and maintenance documentation.

• Perform Incoming Quality Control (IQC) and Quality Assurance (QA) for sheet metal, CNC components, and off-the-shelf mechanical parts and create QC reports.

• Support in assembly, testing, deployment and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems.

• Support in selecting appropriate bearings, rails, and fasteners and mechanical components based on technical requirements.

• Identify and solve engineering problems with a strong analytical approach and attention to detail.

• Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure part availability and manufacturability.

• Oversee and supervise welding and prototyping operations, ensuring process efficiency and quality.

• Work with MIG welding and laser welding, including designing and fabricating jigs and fixtures.
